One of the more advanced systems offered from Tein is the Super Racing coilover damper kit. Specially developed for actual competition, the Super Racing damper kit utilizes race spec spring rates and shock valving. The Tein Super Racing damper kit is fully adjustable for any track and weather condition and features state of the art components such as an external reservoir and 16x16 damping force adjustments.
One of the advanced components of the Tein Super Racing coilover kit is the full length adjustability. This allows for vehicle ride height and spring pre-load can be adjusted independently. Unlike the Tein Basis and Super Street series kit where the ride height is adjusted from the spring seat, the Super Racing kit offers ride height adjustment from the lower threaded shock body. Pre-load is then adjusted from the spring seat. A 16 x 16-way dampening force adjustment allows each damper to be set a possible 256 different adjustment combinations. Compression and rebound are adjusted separately for increased tuning capabilities. Pillow ball upper mounts are also included for increase stability and steering response. Some applications will include a camber plate incorporated in the mount, which allows for 0-3 degrees of camber adjustment.
The Tein Super Racing coilover kit is constructed on high quality steel for strength and durability. The shock body is Teflon coated in their signature green color for rust and weather protection. The shock body also features a mono tube design. This design is utilized for an increased in oil capacity and improved heat dissipation. These features increase valving efficiency and overall performance.
One unique feature of the Tein Super Racing damper kit is the external reservoir tank. This tank allows for increased oil capacity and increased heat dissipation, resulting in a more consistent damping force when in long term use. * Only available on SA type dampers in which compression and rebound are separately adjustable.
The Tein Super Racing coilover damper kit is also compatible with Teins EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) which allows for the user to adjust dampening force from inside the vehicle. This is great for on the fly fine tuning.
Every Tein Super Racing coilover damper kit will include all necessary hardware for installation. Each system is manufactured as a bolt on kit so there will be no welding or modifications required.
